K9 Justice is the newest member of the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department’s Canine Unit having joined the Department on July 14, 2017. Officer Matt Arnold will be K9 Justice’s partner and handler. The two will now begin an intensive six-month training course run by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department.
Funding for K9 Justice came from a donation by Mr. Scott Smith, a local resident, to the Palm Beach Gardens Police Foundation. Justice is a 2-year-old German Shepherd and will be trained as a patrol dog and cross trained for either narcotics or explosives detection.
The Foundation and the Police Department say “Thank You” to Mr. Smith for his very generous donation.
