The Palm Beach Gardens Police Foundation announced today that it has received a $5,000 donation from the Sylvana and Murray Klein Foundation. The funds will be used to help fund the Officers’ Tuition Reimbursement Program which was initiated by the Foundation in 2016.
The Tuition Reimbursement Program was created to reimburse the education expenses of those Palm Beach Gardens Police Officers interested in obtaining their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institution. Officers are required to meet certain eligibility requirements in order to receive their reimbursement.
“The Police Foundation is committed to the growth and development of our Palm Beach Gardens Police Department and of its Officers” said Foundation President Tom Murphy. “We believe that this program will be beneficial not only to those officers who elect to improve their job performance and increase their skills through education but also to the overall operations of the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department.”
“Thanks to the Sylvana and Murray Klein Foundation, we are able to continue and enhance this very important program.”
